We are honored to be an ‘Award of Commendation’ winner at the 2017 Canada Shorts Film Festival.
We salute and thank our neighbors to the north (or south if you live in Detroit Metro like most of us do). Without the beautiful and rugged landscapes of Canada, we would not have a movie.
It was great to be at the 20th East Lansing Film Festival. 20 Years! Good job guys…a special thanks to all the volunteers.
This festival was excellent. We were so excited to go to gorgeous Marquette Michigan for the first time. The Fresh Coast Film Festival is special. In the morning attendees enjoyed hosted nature hikes, mountain bike rides, or even rock climbing….then it was off to great films all afternoon and evening. What could be better!?
We had a wonderful hike, I had my youngest son in the baby backpack, my wife by my side, and peak fall colors all around us. Great family memories!
Here are a few really fascinating films we liked. You can see them online:
We had a great time at the Royal Starr Film Festival.

Well, it’s been about a year since our heroes left on their trip. It’s been a year of hard work, both raising a baby, doing a good job at work, and somehow finding time to work on this movie.
We have been entering a few film festivals with a work-in-progress edition. Today we entered our first film festival with the final version of the film. We did it!!
We are excited to share it with y’all…
Spoiler Alert! – – They didn’t die.
It’s time to interview Doug and Dave Wells and hear about their crazy adventure. We’ll have a fun little movie to show you soon….well not too soon…we all have day-jobs. Oh, and the principal filmmakers -Joe and Nicole- just had a baby. No biggie!
Our adventurous heroes, Doug and Dave Wells, are off on their motorcycle adventure. They will attempt to ride their fine-tuned BMW Motorcycles from Holly, Michigan to Inuvik, NorthWest Territories. This is as far north as you can drive a wheeled vehicle in Canada….unless – perhaps – you are an Ice Road Trucker in the middle of winter.
They should be back in 5-6 weeks. Safe travels!
